CGV has been supplying control systems for our machines since the 1960s.
Up to the 1980s, it usually involved using relays to control machines and special systems were usually purchased to control sorting.

In 1980 CGV started to use PLC systems from Satt-Control and in 1985 we changed to Simatic S5.
As the plants subsequently became more complex, the need for more powerful control systems increased, and we started to use Simatic S7 as early as 1996.

Demands on the control systems' performance are constantly increasing, as it is directly related to the machine's capacity.
In 2005 we started to explore the market for systems which we considered suitable to control sorting plants.
After considerable research, we decided to change to a PC-based solution from Beckhoff Automation GmbH.

The concept which CGV has produced is definitely at the cutting edge of what is currently available in the market. For our customers, this means that the machines have access to more powerful control systems which can be developed with the machine.
