Buffer
The intake between the saw line and the green sorter plays a very important role in today's highly efficient sawmills.
A buffering facility is often needed to handle short stops in the green sorter without the sawline having to stop.
After the stoppage has been resolved, the buffer is emptied at the same time as the online flow from the sawline can be received and sorted in the green sorter.
CGV's buffer solution works fully automatically, without the operator having to decide when to start buffering and when to empty it.
The buffer works in parallel with the usual "online" flow, which means that emptying of the buffer can take place at the same time as the raw sorting is "online" with the saw line.
This gives the sorting a higher efficiency compared to traditional solutions.
